Young people may suffer severe cases of Covid-19 even if they're fit and healthy
Coronavirus is beyond the point of containment and is 'not a trivial infection even if you're young' government experts, Chris Whitty and Sir Patrick Vallance said during a scientific briefing.
Professor Chis Whitty said: "Making this virus go away completely is so improbable, basing scientific theory on that is a mistake."
Adding: "There are some young people that will develop severe disease even though they are fit and healthy otherwise."
Sir Patrick Vallance urges everybody in the UK practices social distancing, especially young people, who think they can ignore government recommendations because they 'assume they're going to be fine'.
